A Cultural Flame That Never Fades

Two decades of theatre thoughtful community service.

Ras Kala Manch is a nonprofit organization rooted in the cultural soil of India and driven by the spirit of public service. Based in Safidon, Haryana, the NGO has spent over 20 years preserving the essence of Indian performing arts while addressing real-world issues with compassion and clarity.

Through powerful stage productions, mythology-based dramas, and grassroots outreach campaigns, the organization bridges the ancient with the urgent. From bringing the Ramayana alive on stage to distributing meals in underserved communities, from training young artists to organizing health camps and education drives, Ras Kala Manch believes in the transformative strength of both art and action. Its mission is not just to perform — but to serve, educate, and awaken society through the shared experience of culture and care.

He began his journey in 2002 by founding Ras kala Manch with his father, Shri Ras Bihari Ji, in the small town of Safidon, Haryana. Since then, his artistic reach has expanded across India, with over 35 productions directed and lead performances in more than 15 plays.

He has received numerous accolades, including the Best Director Award at Pune (2006) for Naagmandal and at Amritsar (2011) for Ghasi Ram Kotwal. His passion for the craft also led him to television, with notable roles in Crime Patrol (Sony TV), Aur Ek Kahani (DD National), Mahara Haryana Mahari Baat, and Sabrang (DD Hissar).

Ravi Mohan credits his training and discipline to the mentorship of Smt.
